GEORGETOWN-Guyana’s Nicolette Fernandes has copped another historic title on the international squash circuit.
Fernandes defeated Mexico’s Samantha Teran 11-6, 11-4, 12-10 earlier today to win the women’s 40+ category at the World Squash Federation Masters tournament in the Netherlands.
This is Fernandes’ second title as she won the women’s 35+ title in 2022.
The former World Number 19, who retired from the PSA Squash Tour in 2016, was the top seed in the category and won all of her matches without losing a set.
