PHILIPSBURG – The Sint Maarten Police Force (KPSM) has wrapped up a successful community and youth outreach initiative, visiting several primary schools to address key issues such as bullying and the importance of reading. The outreach, which included visits to the Martin Luther King Jr. Primary School and the Marie Genevieve de Weever School, focused on the negative impacts of bullying and how students can foster a positive school environment.
Officers also highlighted the value of reading as an essential life skill, encouraging students to engage in discussions on these important topics. This initiative is part of KPSM’s ongoing effort to connect with the youth and contribute to their personal development and safety.
KPSM extended thanks to the participating officers and schools, noting that such programs are crucial in helping young people make positive life choices. The police force plans to continue its engagement with schools and youth organizations in the future.
