PHILIPSBURG-On September 19, 2024, a key meeting took place between the authorities of Sint Maarten and Saint Martin, aimed at boosting collaboration between the two sides of the island. Present at the meeting were Prime Minister of Sint Maarten Dr. Luc Mercelina, Mr. Vincent Berton, Prefet of Saint Martin and Saint Barth’s and Mr. Alex Richards, advisor to the President of the Collectivité of Saint Martin.
The gathering aimed to kickstart a new phase of cooperation between the territories, focusing on shared interests, particularly in the areas of security, health, and education.
